Last updated: August 2026
British Padel Awards ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and safeguard data when you use britishpadelawards.co.uk.
1. Who We Are
The British Padel Awards is organised by Gloss Agency Ltd. For privacy queries, contact us at info@britishpadelawards.co.uk.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide when:
- Booking tickets for an awards, tournament or BPA Network event, name, email address, phone number, company, the names of any additional attendees, and dietary or access requirements.
- Using the contact form, name, email address, phone number and message content.
- Joining our mailing list, first name and email address.
- Registering interest in a BPA Network event, name, email address, company and the role you attend as.
- Applying to be a judge or ambassador, or enquiring about sponsorship or partnership, the contact and background details you submit on those forms.
We also receive limited technical data from your browser, including your IP address and browser type, which may be stored in server logs for security and diagnostic purposes.
When you submit any of the forms above we record how you arrived at the site (the referring website, or any campaign tags in the link you followed) so we can understand which channels bring people to our events. This is stored alongside your submission and is not used to build a profile of you.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To process your booking, take payment and send confirmation emails (lawful basis: performance of a contract).
- To respond to enquiries and applications submitted through our forms (lawful basis: legitimate interests).
- To manage attendance at the British Padel Awards and BPA Network events, including sharing a guest list with the venue where required (lawful basis: performance of a contract).
- To send you news and event updates, if you have asked us to (lawful basis: consent). Every email carries an unsubscribe link and you can opt out at any time.
- To understand how the site is used, if you accept analytics cookies (lawful basis: consent).
- To comply with legal obligations, including accounting requirements.
We do not sell or rent your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
4. Who We Share Data With
We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf: Stripe (payments), Mailchimp (mailing list), our web host, and, only with your consent, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. Some of these providers are based outside the UK; where that is the case, transfers are covered by the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or equivalent safeguards. Event venues receive attendee names and any dietary or access requirements you have given us.
5. Payment Processing
Card payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details are entered on Stripe's own checkout and are never seen or stored by us. Stripe's privacy policy applies to any data shared with them during payment; see stripe.com/gb/privacy. If you pay by bank transfer, we hold only the reference and the details you supplied when booking.
6. Data Retention
We retain booking data for up to 6 years after the event, as required for accounting purposes. Contact form submissions and event interest registrations are retained for up to 12 months. Mailing list entries are kept until you unsubscribe, after which we retain a record of your unsubscribe so we don't contact you again.
7. Your Rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data (subject to legal obligations).
- Object to or restrict processing of your data.
- Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent.
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format.
To exercise these rights, contact us at info@britishpadelawards.co.uk. If you are not satisfied with our response you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
8. Cookies
We use essential session cookies to operate the booking and contact forms. We also use analytics cookies (Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity), but only if you accept them on the banner shown on your first visit. We do not use advertising cookies. For the full list, and to change your choice, see our Cookie Policy.
9. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data from unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. Our site uses HTTPS encryption for all data in transit.
10. Third-Party Links
Our website may contain links to third-party websites (such as sponsors). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites.
11. Changes to This Policy
